Fun in the SNOW
We went up to the snow back in January! Needless to say, we froze!! None of us even own a pair of snow boots, so our feet were wet and frozen. Ty & I are both wearing our jackets from our college days when I lived in Michigan and he lived in Alaska!! Yes, our fashion is a little dated! The boys had a blast. They didn't want to leave, but I have become a wimp in cold weather since moving to AZ 8 years ago. The slightest breeze under 70 degrees makes me shiver!!

Merry Christmas!
Christmas Eve Dinner With Grandma Vicki!
He already had our big family dinner with Ty's family, and my mom just arrived into town after a few months of being away. It's nice to see her again. I won't see her much, since she works almost full time for the Salvation Army, volunteering. She loves it. She is the most kind, giving, and generous person I know. I hope I can be just like her someday!! My boys adore her. We had a nice Turkey dinner that I made. I forgot the potatoes, (but we still had plenty of food)...who forgets potatoes with Turkey?? Needless to say we have a lot of gravy left over!
BYU Wins Las Vegas Bowl!!!!!!
On Friday night we had our annual Ruddell Family Christmas Fishing. This is a favorite for the kids. Grandma puts up a cute fish sheet and the kids fish for presents! This night is almost as fun as the night when Santa really comes to our house!
School Christmas Parties
3 of my boys had Christmas parties at school. They did so many cute things. Nolan was so sad to have missed his... it is probably one of the funnest days of the year! I was able to visit all of their classes. I love spending time in the classes to see all of the great things they are learning.

Mesa Arizona Temple Christmas Lights
Another Tradition we have is to bring our boys to the temple every year at Christmas to see the amazing lights! This is our 3rd (or 4th) annual trip with our great friends the Breinholts! Nobody can relate to our situation with having 4 boys better than they can! They just had their 4th boy this past summer.
I remember having 3 boys, thinking, I can do this, but it was that 4th boy that put me over the edge. You'd think I'd have boys figured out by now!! I'm the first to admit that I'm not a perfect mom! I try hard but seem to always fall short! Well, It's nice to have friends that understand!
We used to live right across the street from the Breinholts and miss them terribly. Our boys played together almost every day!
It gets a little crazy trying to watch 8 boys, in the dark, among hundreds of other people! Makes for a fun night....remind me not to go on a Sat
8th Annual Ruddell Family Gingerbread House Party
Ty had a Birthday TOO!!!
Ty and Nolan have birthday's only days apart. Our great friend, Rita, made the most delicious cake for Ty and brought it too him at his office! The boys couldn't stop eating it, neither could mom! We won't disclose Ty's age, but a hint is we didn't have enough candles to put on the cake!

A Hard Day At The Beach!!!
I can't think of a better way to spend the day.....playing so hard on the beach in California that you collapse in a lounge chair for a little NAP!!!
We went to La Jolla Cove and took a walk. It is so beautiful there. We got to see the seals on the beach.
We went to California over Fall Break from school. It was SOOO fun. It was a last minute plan and ended up being a blast! We stayed in a hotel near Oceanside beach and went to the beach for 3 days.

This is Grandma Karen and Nolan in 2005. This is also from their mission in Utah. Grandma and Grandpa are sure awesome. We love to use their pool in the summer. This was taken before "Roxy" (the dog) became Karen's favorite grandchild!!! Karen, I'm not allowing you to run from the camera anymore, this is my most recent picture I can find......shame on me!!
Swimming in our Backyard
No, we do not have a pool. Not for a couple more years. We have a blow up water slide that we have used all summer! What a great investment. In Arizona, you need to always be wet in the summer to survive! Yes, it's the middle of October and still nice enough to swim. My kids get cold very easily. Anything below 100 degrees and you need a jacket here!!!!
Tanner Loves "Roxy". He is so gentle with her. She is so tiny it always makes me a little nervous when she comes over because I'm afraid I'll squash her with one step! With all of the boys around she had learned to stay off the ground at my house. She's so cute when she props herself up on the back of the couch! Tanner just adores her!

Fun on Fall Break with the Cousins
We have had so much fun for the last 1 1/2 weeks on fall break. On Monday our cousins from Payson came over and the boys have been having a blast! I don't care what anyone says, there's nothing like having 4 boys together all of the time, and them being so close in age, there is an energy that can't be matched. Then you get 6 boys together, There is nothing but ENERGY! I LOVE IT! There is nothing more fun in life than watching a bunch of boys just play football, soccer, baseball, wrestle together, fight eachother, non-stop. My only wish is that I had about half of their energy! Keeping up with them 24/7 is the challenge I face on a daily basis. Everyone always says they grow up SO FAST, so I'm trying my hardest to enjoy it (but when someone has a bloody nose, skinned knee, etc, every 5 minutes, it can get a little crazy!) The one thing that I've learned about boys is that they are so competitive. It's funny how when I have girls over to play, that competitive energy lessens soooo much. I wouldn't change it for the world. Everyone always asks me if I wish I had a girl. I can honestly say "NO". My own hormones are enough for one family to have to deal with! Boys are so Easy-going. That's me. I'm not at all into all of the "frills" and girly stuff that girls do. I never have been. I've always been into sports and fun! I'm not one for jewelry and fluff! Maybe that's why I was blessed with ALL BOYS!
I've decided to use this blog as my journal and just TYPE away with the things I'm thinking! So bear with me!
